Walter Francis Rehagen

He was born December 3, 1933, in Westphalia to Otto and Lucy (Herx) Rehagen.
He was a 1951 graduate of Westphalia High School.
Walter served in the United States Army from 1956-1958.
He was united in marriage on June 18, 1960, in Folk, Missouri to Theresa Woehr who survives at the home.
Walter was a life-long farmer. He also helped to start the Rehagen Bros. Trucking company with his sons.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia, the Knights of Columbus, and the Lions Club. He served on the MFA State Board for several years and was a member of the state dairy farmers association.
Walter enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Fatima High School sports.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Rehagen, Westphalia; five children, Mike (Brenda) Rehagen, Westphalia; Jan (Richard) Heckemeyer, St. Thomas; Ron (Donna) Rehagen, Westphalia; Sharon (Jim) Breese, Westphalia; Judy (Charles) Williams, Westphalia; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren with two on the way; and four siblings, Mary Frank, Jefferson City; Evelyn Schulte, Argyle; Helen Sanning, Taos; and Fred (Margaret) Rehagen, Westphalia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, James Rehagen; and three brothers-in-law, Elmer Frank, Bob Schulte, and Leonard Sanning.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Westphalia with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with the Rev. Anthony Viviano officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, or to Hospice Compassus.
Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Westphalia is in charge of arrangements.
