  1. Thank you for showing me the perfect example of a loving, Godly Father. Thank you for moulding my childhood to follow Gods path. Cherished memories.

  2. My Dad Charles A Ridgway was the Best Dad that anyone could ever wish for. He was the most Godley man I had ever seen. He was genuinely a loving Father and Loved my mother Mildred and his children Dolly David Miles and Robin. He was truly an example of how to live a good Christian life. I loved him and will miss him. But we all can see him again in Heaven. Except the lord Jesus Christ ߙ and join us in Heaven again one day. Love you Dad. David Gilmore

  3. Dear Ridgeway/Gilmore family: Our hearts are sorrowful for you in your loss but we are joyful your dad joined Jesus in Heaven! If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior you will see Charlie one sweet day! Charlie was a strong, loving, kind, sweet Christian man and just being around him was a calming, loving experience. I will always be thankful God brought Charlie and Aunt Mildred together at Holmes Avenue Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband and father. We love all of you and will keep you in our prayers. Ann & Jack Lee

  4. Aunt Mildred and family we love you and keeping you in our prayers. Wish we could be there with you.

  5. Dearest Mildred, Dolly, David, Miles, Robin and family-Was so very sad to hear that Charles passed away but am rejoicing that he has a new and far superior form he is occupying now and is in Heaven with Jesus! After all these years he’s been teaching and preaching the Word of God and now he is experiencing Heaven! John 14:1-3 (KJV)- “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”. I love each of you and am praying for ya’ll. Tammy Reynolds Tucker

  6. Dear Aunt Mildred, Robin, Dolly, David, Miles and grands, I want you to know I’m thinking about you and praying for comfort for all of you. Uncle Charlie will always hold a special place in my heart. Kind and gentle, he was the epitome of a devoted christian. I am so thankful for all the times I was able to “tag along” to church with my cousin Robin and I’ll cherish every memory I had spending weekends together. I know Heaven is a more beautiful place because of his presence. Sending love to all, Charlotte Vetter

  7. The Lee Family: Mary, Donna, Danny and Marty thought the world of you Uncle Charlie! Eternity with our Lord in heaven is the destination we all want.

  11. Mildred and family my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I enjoyed the time I got to know you when you lived at Chapel Hill, you both were so sweet. Keeping you in my prayers ߙϰߏ¼

  12. There’s not enough room on this page to express a lifetime of love and respect that I’ve had for my big brother, Charlie. He taught me how to ride a bike and how to fix it when it was broken. I think his first experience with electronics was when him and a buddy ran a tin can string telephone from our house to theirs. Our mothers just happened to be in each other’s bedrooms when my mother picked up the can and spoke into it and said, “Hello”. Mrs. Merchant heard the voice coming out of the can and it scared the stuffings out of her. She wasn’t aware of this high tech contraption, because at the time none of us had a telephone in our homes. Until we meet again, Rest In Peace my brother, that you so richly deserve. Love Always, Merrill

  13. Dear Ridgeway/Gilmore family, We are so sorry for your loss, but we rejoice with you knowing he was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. Keeping you all in our prayers during this difficult time! With Sympathy, Graham & Betty Hallman, Victor & Cathy Buskirk, and Doug & Brenda Barnett. North Charleston, SC

  14. Words can’t describe how sorry we are for your loss. Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
