Donald McNeil "Neil" Camper Jr., 54, of Jefferson City, died Monday, May 10, 2021, at his residence.
He was born on September 26, 1966, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Donald McNeil Camper Sr. and Gladys Louise Turner Camper.
A 1984 graduate of Jefferson City High School who attended Lincoln University, Mr. Camper loved fishing and helping others.
He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Rencher, Jefferson City, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Sue Washington.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.

Neil was such a quite, kind young man. He stopped by Jan’s most mornings on his way to school, just to say Hi a lot of times. Rest In Peace Neil
My best friend since Kindergarten. I love you man, always. We spent so much of our lives together. Ride or die definitely describes us. Neil, Rusty, and Kelly, we were the Three Musketeers.
Neil was a good friend, we laughed, ran the streets together with our other homies. I remember when he showed us his first car he got, it was a orange Camaro. You’ll be missed my friend.
Neil will be missed by many of us who grew up knowing him and the family. Sending my love, prayers and condolences to his family and friends.
