Richard B. “Rick” Heet, Sr., 68, of St. Martins, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 10, 1952 in Jefferson City, Missouri; a son of the late Frank and Jean (McLerran) Heet, Sr.

He was united in marriage to Cheryl A. Stokes on October 5, 1985, who survives at the home.

Rick graduated from Jefferson City High School and worked for Socal Construction for nearly 40 years. He loved to read, fish, hunt, camp and play cards. Most of all, he loved being at the river with his family.

Rick is survived by his wife, Cheryl Heet, St. Martins; his children, Matthew Heet, Maria Heet and Rick Heet II; his siblings, Frank (Nene) Heet, Jr., Debbie Curtis and Roger (Brenda) Heet; his grandchildren: Skyler, Connor, and Summer Heet, Chelsea Tripp; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law and sister, Chuck and Sharon (Heet) Stokes.

Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 2:30 p.m. with Deacon David Thompson officiating.

Private family burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Facial coverings along with social distancing are required.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Compassus Hospice and Pallative Care (600 Monroe St. Suite 100, Jefferson City, MO 65101) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
