Beatrice “Betty” Josephine Buschman, 80, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born May 21, 1940, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Edwin Jacob and Delia Rose (Herman) Kramer.

Betty was a 1958 graduate of Helias High School.

She was united in marriage on September 27, 1958, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City to Jerome August Buschman who preceded her in death on October 11, 2011.

Beatrice worked for the administration of the Missouri Department of Revenue as a secretary.

She was a member of St Peter Catholic Church, Eucharistic Minister and Holy Hour Devotee.

She enjoyed knitting, boating, reading and most of all being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include five children, Pam (Tom) Conner, Powder Springs, Ga.; Jeff (Perry) Buschman, Jefferson City; Cynthia (Jeff) Eslick, Kansas City, Mo.; Michael(Shelly) Buschman, Jefferson City; and Matt (Kristie Hagner) Buschman, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one sibling, Edwin (Elowese) Kramer, Wentzville, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and 2 siblings, Sr. Marianne Kramer CCVI and Gerald (Lyn) Kramer.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2020, at St. Peter Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Jeremy Secrist officiating. The Mass will be live streamed for those who wish to watch from home. The link can be found on Betty’s obituary page at www.dulletrimble.com.

The general public is welcome to attend the services while following social distancing guidelines. Facial coverings are required while in attendance.

Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

She always had a lot of wisdoms to share over the years – be considerate of others, put a smile on your face, there’s always a silver lining, put one foot in front of the other, you can be whatever you choose to be but you have to work hard at it, take care of those less fortunate – a good coach and cheerleader- she always believed in us. We have been blessed.

  2. what wonderful times Martha and I shared with Betty and Jerry, we shared lots of week end visits together discussing topics of the week, to what the kids were doing or worldly events. I remember well a camping trip we took to the current river what a great time. Will miss you Betty.
