Lola- Sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. We knew Mike for many years from our children and yours in daycare, to working with him and his being a good neighbor. Our deepest sympathy. Darrell and Alice Hutschreider, McGregor, Texas.
We are so very sorry to hear about Mike. We know how much you will miss him but sure you have plenty of fond memories. Jim used to tell me about the times he spent at Uncle Jim’s farm with his cousins. What a bunch! I enjoyed getting to know Mike better when he was one of my dental patients. He was such a character always trying to get me to come work at Fulton State Hospital as a dental hygienist. I told him no way!! Wanted to let you know you’re in our thoughts and prayers. Love Debbie, Carrie, Katie McIlwain

Lola, Deepest heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I hope your family and faith will carry you through this tough time. On a lighter note : the website asks to share a memory. Not really knowing Mike I can only share what you once shared with me about you and Mike. Seems there was a certain storage shed that you were wanting Mike to move…. Hope that brings back a happy memory. Sincerest sympathy, Wayne

I was very sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. Our careers with the State of Missouri were during the same period of time. I knew him while he worked for the Personnel Division and then worked together with him for a number of years at Fulton state Hospital. In those years I learned to respect him as a smart and loyal person, and also a good friend. During a time that was difficult for me personally he was always willing to help me in any way, both at work and in my private life. I doubt I would have make it through without his help. I was happy for Mike that when he left Fulton he became even more successful in his work. We talked occasionally for a time but after I retired we lost touch. One thing I sincerely regret is that I believe I never adequately thanked him for everything he did for me. I remember the love and pride he had in his family and my condolences go to them for their loss. They can take comfort in the fact that Mike lived a life that was worth celebrating. Andrew Asbridge
My sincere condolences Lola, Derek and Becky. I worked with Mike while he was the Deputy Director at the Missouri Veterans Commission. I learned so much from him during his tenure there. He was very proud of his family and truly cared about the Commission and the people that worked there. I’m very sorry to learn of his passing. Kim Harris
Lola, I was sorry to hear about Mike. You may remember I knew him as a boy. My house was built on land that had been part of his family farm. I had not seen him for years, but talked to him at state personnel. Please share my condolences with the rest of the family. Jeff Holzem
