Marie Christine Eveker

She was born March 31, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Robert Elmer and June (nee Kinnison) Eveker.
She was married on June 21, 1989, in Ashland, Missouri to Dr. Henry "Hank" Michael Taylor who survives at the home.
Marie was a graduate of Bishop DuBourg High School in St. Louis; received a diploma in Nursing from Barnes-Jewish School of Nursing; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Following graduation, she served at a rural clinic in Kentucky; was employed in Medical-Surgery nursing with Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the University of Missouri Hospital; and in later years did rural screening for the Boone County Health Department.
Marie was a federally licensed Amateur Radio operator with the call sign KEØAXD; was a member of Boone County Amateur Radio Emergency Service; the Central Missouri Radio Association; and the Columbia and Boone County Emergency Response Team.
She greatly enjoyed sewing and fiber arts. She loved pottery and handmade most of the dishware she and her husband had in their house. She also was heavily involved in music and dancing, and founded two area dance groups.
Other survivors include one stepson, Geoffrey Taylor, Columbia; four siblings, Charles (Ann) Eveker, St. Louis; Nancy (Robert) Ray, St. Louis; Donald (Janice) Eveker, Edwardsville, Illinois; and James (Susan) Eveker, St. Louis; and many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
