James Edward Allen, 53, of Holts Summit, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born February 17, 1966, in Worchester, Massachusetts, the son of James Weldon and Ruth Ellen (Milett) Allen.
He was united in marriage on April 29, 1994, in El Paso, Texas to Shannon Lee who survives at the home.
James served his country in the United States Army for 15 years as a sergeant serving during Iraq Freedom.
Following his honorably discharge from the military, James served as a sheriffs deputy for Dallas and Greene County.
His interests included computers, trucks, flash lights, and four-wheeling.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Allen, Holts Summit; his parents, James and Ruth Allen, Coppers Mill, Maine; his children, Stephanie (Duane) Drane, Shelby (James) Pierce, Paige Allen (Juan Lopez); three grandchildren, Aubrey Lynn, David Allen, Holly Ann; two siblings, Althea Harris and Kristina (Chris) DeRaps; two nieces and two nephews; and a sister-in-law, Christie Saiz and her daughter, Ashley Saiz.
A celebration of James’s life will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Vandyz Off Road Park with military honors and a farewell ride to follow.
