Dewayne Lee Dixon, 68, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City.

He was born July 3, 1950, in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of the late Delmar Lee and Helen Virginia (O’Brien) Dixon.

He was married February 26, 1971, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Lana Marie Dickerson who survives at the home.

He was a member of the Missouri National Guard.

Dewayne spent his career as a successful controller for various industrial companies.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elston. He enjoyed yard work and gardening.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lana; two sons, Brent (Heather) Dixon, Jefferson City; Travis (Elizabeth) Dixon, Columbia; four grandchildren, Colby Dixon, Max Dixon, Adilynn Dixon, and Avery Dixon; a sister, Sandra Wemhaner, Chandler, Arizona; two nephews, Brad Wemhaner and Jeff Wemhaner, both of Chandler, Arizona; and a niece, Michele Johnson, Chandler, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private memorial was held in his honor for his immediate family.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Diabetes Association.
