Paul Henry Hentges

March 20, 1925 ~ December 27, 2018
He was born March 20, 1925, in Jefferson City, the son of the late George Joseph and Sophia Marie (Cortvrient) Hentges.
Paul served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
He was united in marriage on November 25, 1950, in Jefferson City, to Anna Mae Kauffman who preceded him in death on March 31, 2010.
Paul worked in construction and at Westinghouse. He also worked most of his life as a farmer raising dairy and beef cattle. He was born, raised, and passed away on his family farm.
He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Veteran of Foreign Wars, and the Knights of Columbus. Paul enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Randy (Julie) Hentges, Holts Summit; Larry (Sandra) Hentges, Jefferson City; Allan (Rachael) Hentges, Concordia; and six grandchildren, Britney Hentges, LeighAnna Hentges, Aaron Hentges, Zachary Hentges, Caleb Hentges, and JaeSi Hentges.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two infant sons, Robert Joseph and Paul Henry Hentges Jr.; four sisters, Celeste (Victor) Laux, Agnes (George) Mertens, Angeline (Raphael) Frank, Margaret (Joseph) Vaughan; and one brother, John (Virginia) Hentges.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 2 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Louis M. Nelen and the Rev. Msgr. Donald W. Lammers concelebrating.
Entombment with military honors will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
Memorials are suggested to the Cathedral of St. Joseph or to SSM Health at Home.

Having grown up on a farm next to Paul’s, one thing I have always remembered was he never hesitated to loan a piece of machinery to my father. That… and his laugh…I LOVED HIS LAUGH To Paul and Ann’s 3 sons and their extended family… you were so blessed. Stand proud Rick Distler in Arizona
