Joan Loretta Graessle, 83, of Wardsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 4, 2018, at St. Joseph Bluffs.
She was born on June 28, 1934, in Jefferson City and raised by her mother and step father, Frances Ann Geising Adams and Jesse Clyde Adams.
She was married on December 2, 1950, in Jefferson City to Paul Hugo Graessle who preceded her in death on December 2, 2013.
Joan was a former banquet and convention waitress at Ramada Inn.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville, St. Stanislaus Ladies Sodality, St. Stanislaus Quilters, Missouri State Quilters Guild, Missouri River Quilt Guild, and the American Quilters Society. She was also involved as a Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader when her children were young.
Joan enjoyed being a homemaker, spending time with her husband and family, and most enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include four children, Steve Graessle, Kansas City; Lisa Graessle, Wardsville; Luke (Melodi) Graessle, Rocky Mount; and Julie (Jim) Floyd, Florissant; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Ron (Marilyn) Rothove, Laurie; and Ruth Rutledge, Jefferson City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Don Rothove and Stanley Rothove.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville with the Rev. I.C. Medina officiating.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Private family visitation will be held at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
