Ronald Edgar Meers, 76, of New Bloomfield, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Boone Hospital.
He was born September 7, 1941, in St. Charles, Missouri, the son of the late Edgar Frederick Hermann and Norine Emma Christine (Zumbehl) Meers.
He was united in marriage on July 20, 1963, in Orchard Farm, Missouri, to Loretta Josephine Schiermeier who survives at the home.
Ronald worked as a machinist for over thirty-seven years, for McDonnell Douglas, now known as Boeing. He retired in June 1998
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Holts Summit and International Association of Machinist, Local 837B.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Kathy Meers, New Bloomfield; one son, Jeff (Velvet Eynard) Meers, Jefferson City; six grandchildren, Allen (Terri) Rimert, Kayla Rimert, Periann Rimert, Jacob Meers, twin grandsons, Tyler Meers and Logan Meers; two great-grandchildren, Case Rimert and Hunter Rimert; three brothers, Henry Hank (Kathleen) Meers, St. Peters; Kenneth (Rene) Meers, St. Charles; Roger (Debbie) Meers, St. Charles; and two sisters, Arlene Foster, Staunton, Illinois; and Carolyn (Rev. Don) Bren, Lewistown, Montana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Jessica Rimert; a brother, Dale Meers; and a brother-in-law, Don Foster.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be 12-1 p.m. Friday, January 12, at Grace Lutheran Church in Holts Summit.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018,at Grace Lutheran Church in Holts Summit with the Rev. Michael Diener officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

We are so sorry to hear about Ronnie. He was a great person. Out thoughts an prayers are with you all!
All of us McDonnell Douglas guys will miss him at the retirees meetings. I rode to work with him from St. Charles for quite awhile. We were both on second shift. Had some good time boating with him and his family on the river. He was one of the good guys and will be missed. Loretta, you and your family are in my prayers.
