Saw Mrs. Cureton at Dr. W.E. Byrd’s reception in May of 2012. She was still the effervescent person she was when I was a student at LU. When she learned Cora and I owned ms. C’s Soppin’ Good Barbecue business, she promptly asked me to send her two bottles, and I did.
Prayers are uplifted for her entire family. To God be the glory.

May God rest her soul until the final awaken, and that she will be with Our Lord and savior, an earthly lost , and a heavenly gain, Love to the Second Baptist Church , and the family, which she shared so freely and witty .
Mrs. Cureton was a beautiful, loving, caring Godfearing woman. I knew her ever since my childhood as she lived next door to my family – The LaRues; close friend to my grandmother “Josephine Elliott.” She also was one of my church members at Second Baptist and I worked with her at Lincoln University. A very special woman who lived a long and blessed life. She will be missed.
The Servant who had received five talents came and presented five more. Master, he said you entrusted Me with five talents. See, I have gained five more. The Master replied,”We done Good and Faithful Servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. ENTER INTO JOY OF YOUR MASTER!
Well done, Sister Georgia ! I can see you singing ” If You Could Only See Me NOW!
