  14. Our deepest sympathies go out to Sue and children. I knew Sue from High School, then got to know Joe from reunions and emails. He loved anything I sent pertaining to aviation. I’ve missed his emails during the last 3 months. Great friend that will be missed.

  15. Sue, and Family, It was a pleasure to care for Joe the past few months. He was always so appreciative of anything I did for him. Easter Sunday, he thanked me several times for taking the time to put his black socks and shoes on so he would look nice for the morning services at St. Joseph’s Cathedral. He was so proud of becoming a Grandpa!!! I know he will be missed very much by your family, but I know he is now in Heaven reaping all the rewards for a life well lived on Earth. He was a fighter to the end!! Your family was very supportive to him during his failing health and you should be proud of your devotion to him with your constant presence at his side. In time when things settle down a little I hope you can stop by for a short visit. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  18. Joe was a wonderful man to have worked with at State Parks. He contributed so much to the wonderful park system Missouri is so proud of. We certainly had some great times. Joe was so grounded in the love he had for his family. He loved sharing events, stories and joys with us. I am confident that you will have many great memories to share and relish.

May the words from Isaiah comfort you at this time of loss. “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name and you are mine”. Know that Joe is with the Lord warming the gates of heaven with his smile. Blessings!
