*SERVICES PROCEEDING AS SCHEDULED.* Marvin Ray LeCure, 75, of Centertown, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 12, 1941, in Jefferson City, MO, the son of Floyd and Ada (Jones) LeCure. He grew up in Bonnets Mill, MO. On October 20th, 1962, he married his high school sweetheart, Ann Rohrer, of Rich Fountain. Marvin graduated from Fatima High School in 1959 and worked at American Press in Columbia, MO. In 1975, he began work at Von Hoffman Press and helped to install the first web press for the company. He retired in 2003. Marvin enjoyed sports and played varsity basketball and baseball at Fatima. He was the catcher for the American Legion team that was the state runner up where he set a batting average record. He coached many teams of softball, basketball and baseball at St. Martins. Before his health diminished, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was quite successful at both. He loved playing pitch with his family although in his younger days preference was the card game of choice. He was a member of St. Martin Parish for 28 years. Marvin was a private person whose greatest delight was his family. He provided well for all eight of his children and as "Popo" loved all his grandchildren. Marvin is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ann LeCure, Centertown; six sons Dan LeCure, Greg LeCure, Phil LeCure and wife Brenda (Strope), Mike LeCure and wife Rachelle (Eynard), Brent LeCure and wife Carmen (Peterson), Sam and wife Lauren (Gardner); two daughters Amy Bowes and husband Nathan and Katie Luebbering and husband Josh; and 18 grandchildren, Ben, Alex and Nick LeCure, Matt and Joe LeCure, Drew LeCure, Abby and Grace LeCure, Luke and Mikey Bowes, Jennie, Christian and Levi LeCure, Taylor, Mikayla, Elizabeth, Sydney and Hank Luebbering. He is also survived by his brother, Rick LeCure and wife Rosemary of Bonnets Mill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ada LeCure; and his brother Lenny LeCure. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 2:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2017, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. A private interment will be held at Cadet Creek Cemetery in Loose Creek, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Martin Catholic Church for the Samaritan Center, 7148 St. Martins Ave., Jefferson City, MO 65109.   3. I worked with Marvin for 20 years at Von Hoffmann Press…you get to know alot about someone…even their family. We were supposed to go cat fishing years ago…but i cancelled because something popped up. Wish I would have kept that fishing date. He was so proud of his family…and so fun to work with…i will have nothing but fond memories of him. A beautiful soul.
