  1. Devereaux Family,

I’m so sorry to hear about Jeff’s passing. I got to know Jeff in High School and what a great guy. Even though our paths took us in different directions when ever we ran across each other it was like no time had passed. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. And I know in my heart that we will all be together again at the end.

  5. To all of Jeffrey Devereaux’s family members, send you my prayers and sincere condolences. I met Jeffrey years ago as a Lincoln University KLUM DJ, as a participant with the LU Stagecrafters, and as a friend during times when my family also called Jefferson City “home”. May all of the love and memories you shared with Jeffrey sustain and uplift your spirits throughout your bereavement.

  6. To the Devereaux Family and friends:

Although its difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you all tomorrow. Laughing at his goofiness and fond memories we hold.

May he rest in peace, as he joins the angles to create more laughter above.

My deepest sympathy for the Devereaux family. May time heal your sorrow, May friends ease your pain, May peace replace heartaches and may the warmest memories remain. Live each day with encouragement knowing that he is proud and smiling down on you from Heaven. May god bless you all through this difficult time. As, I will always cherish and hold dear to my heart getting to work with him and getting to know him and the family. Love to all, many prayers and blessings.

  15. JD was truly one of a kind. I’ve never met anyone like him and I know I never will. The very first time we met he acted like he had known and loved me for years. I don’t think he ever met a stranger. There was no topic he couldn’t cover and no laughter he couldn’t reach. I am flooded with memories of JD after hearing this news. They are all happy ones, but I am saddened that he has left us. He will be sorely missed and I am very sorry for your lose…for all of our lose.

  16. Well I wrote this and somehow lost it….JD would just laugh….he was the more technical side of things when I worked with him. JD and I co-hosted the morning show on KGBI in Omaha, he was a very good friend to my husband and I…in fact he was our best man and walked me down the isle. JD made everyone feel welcome and seemed to always have a way of getting a conversation going with strangers…. he could have talked about the engine on a tractor for a half hour….ok maybe 45 minutes. JD was an extremly creative and a very talented man, he was very giving. If you had a cause JD was there to help out in any way he could. JD loved his children. We froze at remotes at the pumpkin patch, got drenched at ball games, and laughed and cried with listeners. He sure did love Christmas….one year he said he was going to stop….Christmas decorations anonoymous if I remember right….. but he relapsed. My favorite memories of JD are when my husband would come to visit and we would pray in the control room…JD would baske in Gods presence…his wonderful smile and his face a glow…he would say…I needed that! Rest in peace dear brother!

  17. To the entire Devereaux family: Please accept our deepest heartfelt sympathy for Jeff’s passing. I always remember our high school days & Jeff’s continuous smile. May he rest in God’s loving arms forever. May the Good Lord be with his family and many friends as they will think of him often. Jeff was one of the “Good Guys”. Semper Fidelis.

  18. JD was a warm, wonderful part of our family. He was always quick with a smile, a hug, a laugh and word of encouragement, each and every time I saw him. Heaven is rejoicing to see his spirit return home. We will miss him, and his voice will resonate in our hearts forever.

  19. To the Devereaux family…

I met JD over 20 years ago. I was at work listening to Sweet 98. Btw I haven’t listened to that station since he left! But I was always calling in trying to win something on request something!!! One day I ventured to the studio to meet the man behind the voice!!! We were friends ever since. Many years have passed since we spoke had no idea JD was sick…but know God like I do I know he is in a better place, no suffering. This is a difficult time. But in time the pain will get easier. God you outdone yourself this time! You called the absolute best home!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😇😇😇😇😇

  21. Every year goes by it still doesn’t seem real. We lost touch when you went to Omaha, but i never forgot one of my radio mentors and heroes. I learned about radio and life through you and some others at y107 back in the day. Many stories that are almost legendary and funny as hell but not able to be told here. One thing i will always remeber is how you were always happy and always encouraging a troubled teen to keep his ass out of trouble while learning radio and broadcasting. I miss you like crazy. Richard Porter (The Rocker is the name Jeff gave me, i never foorgot it)
