Marvin Clark Yancey, Sr., 80, of Mokane, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born December 5, 1934, in Kansas City, MO the son of the late Theon Lewis and Alma (Yancey) Johnson.
Marvin served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Marvin worked most of his life for Alcan Aluminum in Sedalia, MO.
In his free time, Marvin enjoyed playing cards especially Bridge.
Survivors include: his children, Marvin (Ashley) Yancey, Jr., Jefferson City, MO; Emmanuel Yancey, Boonville, MO; Marva Bell, Kansas City, MO; Cynthia Glover, Kansas City, MO; Anita (Darnay) Goins, Kansas City, MO; Sheila Caldwell, Grandview, MO; his siblings, Ronald (Sandy) Johnson, Sedalia, MO; Thurstenia Sweeney, Bryans Road, Maryland; and many grandchildren and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Enos (JuJu) Johnson; and a son, Damon Yancey.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Jefferson City, MO.
Graveside service with military honors will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
