Mary Ann Jones, 84, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born June 26, 1931, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late John Francis and Margaret Lorene (Scherr) Upschulte. She was a 1949 graduate of St. Peter High School. Mary Ann was united in marriage on January 7, 1950, at St. Peter Catholic Church to Donald Lee Jones who survives. Mary Ann served as secretary to the Director of Special Education for the Jefferson City Board of Education for over 16 years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church where she volunteered on the prayer line and other church activities. Mary Ann's hobbies included crocheting, praying, and cooking. Her greatest passion was her family; spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest love Mary Ann had a special niece she adored, Mary Lisa McDonald. In addition to her husband Donald, she is survived by three children, Mark (Melissa) Jones, Jefferson City; Mike (Mary) Jones, North Carolina; Julie (Greg) McKinney) Tebbetts; 15 grandchildren, Lori Lucas, Michelle Etter, Doug Etter, Kristen Jones-Hannah, Brock Jones, Derek Jones, Sarah Jones, Hannah Jones, Luke Wehking, Lexie Wehking, Carly McKinney, Caden McKinney, Michael Coleman, Jake McKinney, Zachary McKinney; 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Donna Etter; and two siblings, Margaret Francis "Fammie" Frew and Robert Upschulte. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.     Your mom was wonderful we am sorry to hear that she had passed. I will never forget her bringing Mike home from the hospital when he was born…back when you lived next door to us on Overlook Drive. Those were the days that I will always cherish.
