Rose Ann Masters, 90, of Ashland, formerly of Jefferson City, died Thursday, December 25, 2014, at her daughter's home in Ashland.
She was born January 24, 1924, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Otto and Katherine (Heislen) Kroeger.
She was a graduate of St. Peter High School in the class of 1941.
She was married on February 1, 1947, in Jefferson City to Roy L. Thompson. She later married Lawson V. Phaby on September 1, 1962, in Jefferson City. On November 28, 1997, in Jefferson City she married Mansford W. "Frank" Masters who preceded her in death on November 21, 2007.
A homemaker most of her life, Ann worked as a secretary for the Attorney General's Office from 1957-1962 and the Missouri House of Representatives from 1962-1966 including for Rep. Pat Hickey (St. Louis).
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Elks Auxiliary.
Ann was a survivor of cancer who had participated in various cancer awareness causes.
She enjoyed traveling and especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include: four children, Samantha (Michael) Cheshire, Ashland; Roy "Tom" Thompson, Hawaii; Christine (Jeff) Tellman, Meta; Jason Phaby (fianc: Missy Smith), State of California; three step-children, Catherine Davis; Candace Masters; Mansford W. "Kip" Masters, III; six grandchildren, Timothy Moore, Jesse Cheshire, Kurt Cheshire, Morgan Casey, Joshua Tellman, Kyle Tellman; three great-grandchildren, Tayla Prenger, Frances Cheshire, Henry Cheshire; and a sister-in-law, Lorene Kroeger, Jefferson City.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Scheppers and Sr. Catherine Kroeger; and three brothers, Albert Kroeger and Joe Kroeger, and Charles B. Steers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Colin Franklin officiating.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
