Carol Marie Jay, 80, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, December 19, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on February 25, 1933, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Dellis Samuel and Madge Marie Perry Moore.
She was married on May 22, 1960, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Everett L. Jay who survives at the home.
A graduate of Victory High School in Clarksburg, she received a nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing.
She was a Registered Nurse for over thirty years having served with Nellis Air Force Base Hospital in Las Vegas and with Queen of the Valley Hospital in Covina, California, until her retirement in 1982.
Other survivors include two children, Sue A. (William) Hemby, Puxico, Missouri; and William D. (Stacey) Jay, Osage Beach, Missouri; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Maxine Perry.
Private family services will be held at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
