Patricia A Lock, 59, of Holts Summit, died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born January 17, 1954, in Havre Dr Grace, Maryland the daughter of the late Nora Esther Joan (Reynolds) Jackson. She was united in marriage on July 25, 1975, in Jefferson City, to Steven Clyde Lock who survives at the home. Mrs. Lock taught preschool and was a Para Professional with the Jefferson City Public Schools. She was a member of Capital City Christian Church. Mrs. Lock enjoyed painting, drawing, teaching, traveling, writing, volunteering, and especially loved being with her grandchildren. In additional to her husband, she is survives by two daughters; five grandchildren; and her mother-in-law, Rachael Lock. She was preceded in death by her mother and her father-in-law, Clyde Lock. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, at Capital City Christian Church with Pastor Don Fankhauser officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Capital City Christian Church. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association, 2833 East Battlefield Road, Suite 100, Springfield, Mo 65804; or to the Special Learning Center, 1115 Fairgrounds Road, Jefferson City, Mo 65109. May the words of Isaiah 25:8 comfort you-“He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces…” The Bible even tells why people get sick,or grow old and die at Romans 5:12 but our hope is in Jesus

    Christ as Romans 6:23. An example of how he will do this is at John 11:17-44. My condolences.

    only knew Mrs. Lock a short time compared to others. Working at Capital

    Region I was able to get to know her and grew to love her. She was

    truly a great person and and a joy to be around. And to Clyde I pray

    that God heals you and gives you strength.

  9. Steve, Bethany, Terra- so sorry to hear about Patty. I learned so much about day care from he r many years ago when we worked together at The Training Station. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
