To The Driver Family,I recently learned of your loss and was deeply saddened, as Darryl and I attended Jefferson City High School together. I remember helping him with his initial business plan for his first hot dog stand. He had such a wonderful spirit and it was a blessing to me to read his obituary. He was so much more than his accomplishments. He was a true disciple of The Lord, which was demonstrated by his servant heart and love for family. My maiden name is Mary M. Harris, and I pray that The Lord comforts you as only He can during this difficult time, and that the memory of Darryl warms the hearts of all who knew him. Sincerely,Mary (Harris) Green-Lee
To the Driver family, I can only imgaine that the pain you all feel is unbearable. I communicated with Darryl only a few days before he passed away and he talked about all the upcoming work he had to do. He was a fellow graduate of Thurgood Marshall law school in Houston. He loved his family and dreaded the long hours he had to work and be a way from them but he did what he had to do for his family. I prayed God grants the family peace as they begins to pick up the pieces. He will be remembered by me as a man of God, a family man, and a Thurgood Marshall graduate. Peter J. Clarke

Let us ask God for help to see death as it really is – only a shadow. Most of all, to help us to trust the Shepherd who has experienced and understands all mysteries.May you be filled with faith and hope even in the midst of sadness. This is our prayer for you. We Love you. Yours in Christ,Elder Gregory T. Reeves andThe Jefferson City Church of God In Christ Family
Annette, and the entire Driver family. My condolences to all of you. I apologize for not being at Juny’s visitation or funeral. I graduated high school with him. Juny was always an inspiration to me. He was so outgoing in school; everyone’s friend. Later, whenever I saw him outside the Truman Building with his cart, I thought to myself, ‘he is going to make it big someday.’ I wish I would have spoken to him more. I would have discovered his motivation behind the cart. Now that I know what that motivation was, I am even more inspired by what he did with his life and how many people he influenced. Juny will always be my friend, and I will always remember his great personality and his willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed. Barry Beach

Dear Driver Family, I have known Juny since 3rd grade whenever us Tebbetts kids were sent to Thorpe J. Gordon. He was always full of life and a lot of fun with a twinkle in his eye! This world has surely lost a very fine person but take comfort in the days, weeks, months and years ahead knowing he’s in a better place.
My most sincere sympathy to the family, especially Juny’s wife and children. I went to high school with him. He was the most kind, generous and personable friend. He treated others as he wanted to be treated, always with a smile and never a cross word. I was so proud when he received his law degree. I know how hard he worked to provide for his family. A true loss to all who knew him and my heartfelt condolences to you all. God Bless…

Rhonda – If there is anything I can do please let me know. I and my prayer warriors are all praying for you and your family.
We didn’t see each other often, but whenever we did, Darryl acted as though we just spoke yesterday. He gave me “permission” to call him “Juny” because I couldn’t remember the name Darryl. That’s what I liked most about him…his easy going manner. You couldn’t help but be in a pleasant mood whenever he was around. I will always remember his intellect, his beautiful smile, and his great sense of humor. Family, my heart goes out to all of you, especially Rhonda and the kids. Mrs Delois, you raised an amazing son! My prayers are with you. Be blessed.
Rhonda, I am so sorry. If there is “anything” I can do to help, please call me or Joe. You and the kids are in our prayers.

I am still at a total loss for words with Darryl’s home going. With that, I dedicate this reading to Darryl (Juny) Driver in hopes that it brings a sense of peace for you, his family and friends.IF YOU COULD SEE – I’M HOMEAuthor UnknownIf you could see where I have gone, the beauty of this place,And how it feels to know you’re HOME, to see the Saviour’s face.To wake in peace and know no fear, just joy beyond compare,While still on earth you miss me yet, you wouldn’t want me there! If you could see where I have gone, had made the trip with me,You’d know I DIDN’T GO ALONE – my Saviour came with me.When I awoke, He was by my side and said as He touched my hand”Hurry, you are going HOME to a grand a glorious land”.You would marvel at the care of God, His hand on every life,And realize He really cares, and bears with us each strife. And that He weeps when one is lost, His heart is filled with painBut oh!THE JOY!When one comes HOME – a child at HOME again. If you could stay a while with me – could share the things that God has made to grace eternity,I know you wouldn’t want to leave – once Heaven’s joy you’re shownYou couldn’t bear to walk earth’s paths once Heaven was your HOME.If you could see where I have gone – you know we’ll meet some dayAnd though I’m parted from you now, that I am JUST away. And now that I am HOME with Him, secure in every way,I’m waiting here – at heaven’s door – to greet you some sweet dayMay God Bless and keep you during this very difficult time.
Rhonda and family,Joe and I were sadden to hear of the loss of Darryl. He will be greatly missed. God Bless you and your family and may you find strengh during this difficult time. Joe and Brenda LaBella
