Shelly Louise Brown Hartzler, 40, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born on October 17, 1971, in Jefferson City to Delmar Russell and Catherine Maxey Brown.
Shelly fought a hard and courageous battle with Wegeners Disease (inflammation of the Vascular vessels) for most of her life.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Shelly enjoyed spending time with her children, loved music, and hanging out with her friends.
Survivors include: her parents Delmar and Catherine Brown, Jefferson City; two children, Devin Hartzler and Shelby Hartzler, Jefferson City; four siblings, Gary Brown, Jefferson City; Ron (Cindy) Brown, Jefferson City; Sandra Brown (Chris Switzer), Jefferson City; Sheila (Michael) Howlett, Rocky Mount; her grandmother, Jewel Brandt, Taos; many nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Hill.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Doyle, officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Shelly Hartzler Memorial Fund in care of Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
