Patricia “Patti” Hale, 72, of Holts Summit passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Fulton Manor Care Center.

She was born March 7, 1950 in Marion, IL to the late James Clinton Copen Sr. and Palema Charlene (Wallace) Copen.  On May 13, 1967 Patti married Bernard Hale in Dixon, IL.  He preceded her in death on July 15, 2021.  Before retiring, Patti worked for over 20 years at Scholastic in Jefferson City.  In her younger years, Patti was an avid bowler.  She not only bowled in several women’s leagues in Jefferson City and California, but also in many tournaments over the years.  She kept active in playing “Egg Buddies” on Facebook and taking care of her beloved dogs, Honey, Buddy, Sweetie, and Angel.

 

Survivors include three daughters, Jo “Jean” (Ryan) Jezylo of Fulton, Tanya (Dennis) Ousley of Springfield, MO, Trisha (Lee) Alford of Jefferson City, eleven grandchildren, Dustin D. (Haley) Suggett, SammiJo Hale, Lori L. Slusser, Dennis J. Ousley Jr., Danny R. Alford, Stacia D. Barnard, Shellyann K. (Bryan) Avant, Levi G. Barnard, Shelby L. Alford, Patrick E. Barnard, Cheyenne A. Ousley, fourteen great grandchildren, Dawson, Kyson, Autumn, Haydin, Kylie, Peyton, Hailey, Ashton, Harper, Couper, Bryson, Zoey, Graysen and Lenox, her sister, Sharon Newlin of Louisville, KY and brother, James Clinton Copen Jr. of Alton, IL. Patti was further preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sabbrina Ousley, half-brother, Dennis Newlin and step brother, Harold Hoyle.  

 

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Dr., Jefferson City.  A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Higbie of Calvary Assemble of God officiating.
