Donna Margaret Amos, 74, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

She was born March 8, 1951, in St. Charles, Missouri, the daughter of Jack and Peggy (Buster) Jones.

She was a graduate of Newbury Park High School in Thousand Oaks, California.

Donna worked for Burns Security at the Callaway Nuclear Plant and worked as a clerk and driver-trainer for the United States Postal Service for many years.

Donna loved to be with her family, including time at the lake and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.  She also enjoyed bowling, going to the casino, and going to her weekly Tuesday outings with her friends.

Survivors include her three children, Shannon Sullivan, Eldon; Amy (Michael) Miller, Russellville; Lannie (Jamie) Sullivan, Russellville; eight grandchildren, Nathaniel Sullivan, Ethan Miller, Damian Miller, Chandler (Kaylie) Miller, Reese Miller, Ashten Miller, Lawson Sullivan, Lydia Sullivan; five great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Greg (Karen) Jones, Overland Park, KS; and Gwen (Max) Kraus, Florence, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rodney Jones.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Russellville from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.

  1. Donna was one of a kind, she was one of my best friends, we talked every day. She always took care of our all in our group, we called her Mama Donna, she was a dandy. I loved her like a sister, and I will miss her dearly. Donna is at peace now. She loved her kids and grandkids, talked about them all the time. My heart goes out to the family.

Been awhile since we talked but always a pleasure for sure, she was a great lady had a lot of fun together ❤️ while you young one’s were growing up. Our hearts and prayers are with you and yours, she loved her family. Last time we talked was at a track meet for gradeschool both of us there for our grandbabies .
