William Daniel “Bill” Wehmeyer, 83, of Holts Summit, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Heisinger Bluffs West.
He was born on September 27, 1941, in New Franklin, Missouri, the son of Lloyd Miller and Olga Carolina (Biesemeyer) Wehmeyer.
He was a 1959 graduate of New Franklin High School. He attended classes at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
On June 20, 1964, Bill was united in marriage to Betty Ann White in New Franklin, Missouri.
Bill worked for the State of Missouri in the Data Processing Division of the Department of Social Services, retiring in 2001.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, volunteered in RCIA, and was a communion minister.
Bill loved traveling with his wife, Betty Ann, whether that was going to his favorite fishing hole, traveling to dog shows or just seeing places he had never been.
Bill is survived by his wife, Betty Ann; three daughters, Nancy (Todd) Parks, Longview, TX, Beth Ann (Ron) Harmon, St. Charles, MO, and Jennifer (Joy) Engelby, Jefferson City; seven grandchildren, Cody Parks, Caleb Harmon, Elizabeth Harmon, Brett Parks, Madeline Harmon, Claire Harmon and Kyleigh Harmon; one brother, Leon (Dorothy) Wehmeyer, Bella Vista, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Anna Katherine Snoddy, Carolyn Rush, Jerry Wehmeyer and Judy Smith.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki, VG officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church.
