David Lee Wolfmeier, 59, of Holts Summit, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on October 26, 1965, in Fulton, Missouri, the son of Roger Lee and Janet Lee (Adams) Wolfmeier.

He was a 1984 graduate of Fulton High School. He earned an automotive degree from Bailey Technical School in St. Louis.

He was united in marriage on December 16, 2000, in Jefferson City, to Gala Lynne Burkhart, who survives at home.

David retired in 2024 from Fischer Body Shop and previously worked for the Honda dealership in Jefferson City as well as several other dealerships throughout the years.

David loved to be with his family, was an avid deer and turkey hunter and loved spending time outdoors. He was a wonderful guitar player and enjoyed woodworking. In his younger years he could be found racing cars and riding bulls, but loved watching both sports in later years.

Survivors include his loving wife, Gala; his mother, Janet; in-laws, Gary and Georgia Burkhart; two children, KC Wolfmeier, Jefferson City, Kassidy (Teal) Twaddle, Lake of the Ozarks; sister, Deborah Lee Wilson, Fulton; two grandchildren, Payne and Wyatt Twaddle; niece, Kennedy Bailey, Fulton, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother-in-law, Rick Wilson.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City from 1-3 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the ALS Association.

I will always remember growing up with David, in that FFA jacket, making us all laugh and smile, and listening to him play guitar deep in to the night when we stayed up with him at the FFA fair to tend the animals and tell stories. Great memories of a truly kind man. God bless the family in their time of loss.
