Joe Anthony Lamberson, 75, of Russellville passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 5, 2025.  His wish was granted that he not die with “The View” on TV.  Joe was born in Bonham, Texas on October 10, 1949 to the late Jim Roy Lamberson and Winnie Faye (Jenkins) Lamberson.

Following high school, Joe served his country enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps.  In his earlier years, Joe managed Fred’s #1 Spot in the Gravois arm of Lake of the Ozarks.  He later became a Core Drill Operator for MODOT until his retirement.

He survived by his former wives;  Sheri Stevens and Rose Lamberson, both of Jefferson City; three sons, Steve (Viani) Lamberson of Russellville, Jeff Lamberson of Russellville and Jody (Julie) Lamberson of Freeburg; his reasons for hanging around just a little bit longer were his four grandchildren, Jay Paul, Scarlett Rose, Britney and Laars; four siblings,  Jimmy (Nancy), Caroline (Robert) Moore, Johnny and Thomas (Kimberly), all of Paris, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.  Joe was further preceded in death by his brother, Billy Jack and sister-in-law, Becky Lamberson.

“Joe’s Party” will be held at a later date. Raise your glass to the one, the only Joe Anthony Lamberson! Salute!
