Robert Lee Bryant

Robert Lee Bryant, 94, of Lohman, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Heisinger West in Jefferson City.
He was born March 1, 1931, in Centertown, Missouri, the son of Hurley Douglas and Beulah Mae (Bills) Bryant.
Robert was a 1949 graduate of Jefferson City High School, attended Jefferson City Junior College, and later graduated from Lincoln University in 1959.
Robert served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He was united in marriage on February 27, 1953, at Wesley Methodist Church in Pleasantville, New Jersey to Marylou Lydia Schneider who preceded him in death on August 27, 2024.
Robert worked as an assistant manager, claims representative, and field representative for the Social Security Administration for over 30 years retiring in August of 1990. He later worked for Jefferson Bank as a mail carrier.
He was a founding member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, taught adult Sunday School, served on several church committees including Church Council and Mission Projects over the last 30 plus years. Faith was a very important part of his life, and he set a wonderful example for his family.
He loved working in the yard, producing a garden, and working around the house. Robert enjoyed sports of any kind and was an avid fan of western movies and books. But most of all, he loved his family.
Survivors include six children, Linda (Jerry) Dooling, Lohman; Dianna (Stan) Payne, Lohman; Bob (Brandy) Bryant, Lohman; Daniel (Neva) Bryant, Russellville; Renee (Jim) Baxter, Greenwood, MO; Amy (Rodney) Gipe, Jefferson City; 22 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marylou Bryant; and a brother, Elmo Bryant.
Visitation will be 9:00-10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes in Jefferson City. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Brian Credille officiating.
Burial with military honors will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, MO.
Memorials are suggested to the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

To the Bryant family, I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your loving father. I know he was in great pain but know he is pain free now. You are all in my prayers during this sad time. Love you all. Such a wonderful family!
Praying for comfort and peace at this time. Remember the friendship and fellowship that I had with him and his family while at Russellville. Those were cherished moments.
