Trent N. Estes

Trent N. Estes, 73 of Jefferson City passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born May 19, 1952 in Anniston, Alabama to the late Curtis and Sybil (Messer) Estes. After graduating from Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, VA he attended Virginia Tech achieving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Trent went on to graduate with an MBA from Fontbonne University in St. Louis.
On October 3, 1981, Trent married Karen Gron in Anniston, AL. They moved to St. Louis where Trent worked for Chrysler Corporation. He retired after 25 years of service as a supervisor in the truck plant. Trent then worked as a school bus driver for the Special School District. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing, spending time with family, watching the Cardinals and rooting for Alabama on TV (Roll Tide!) Trent always looked forward to exploring, hiking and traveling through the Great Smoky Mountains. He was an active member of South County Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.
Survivors include his wife Karen of Jefferson City; two children, Joseph (Alexandria) Estes of Jefferson City and Jessica Estes of Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren, Amelia, Sadie and Penelope; sister, Angela Hendrickson of Piedmont, AL; and sister-in-law, Beth Estes of Washington, D.C. Trent was further preceded in death by his brother, Steven.
A celebration of Trent’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025 at South County Baptist Church, 12995 Tesson Ferry Rd., St. Louis. Reverend John Childers will officiate. Private burial took place in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens, Jefferson City.
