Viola Elizabeth Weber, 91, of Freeburg, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Americare Westbrook Terrace Memory Care in Jefferson City.

She was born on February 22, 1934, on her Koeltztown family farm, to Stephen and Adelheide (Luebbert) Boeckmann.

She married Elmer Weber on April 21, 1956, in Koeltztown, Missouri who survives.

Viola retired in 1964 from McGraw Edison and worked part-time at the Westphalia Inn as their pie baker and at Play-Mor Trailers.  In earlier years she worked for Dr. Herb Taylor, and Tweedy’s Shoe Company.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Anne’s Sodality and was the leader of the quilting committee for many years.  She volunteered extensively in the Westphalia community.

She had a very full life and we were blessed to have her with us for so many years.  Her pie baking, Krumkake making, quilt piecing and fixing dad his favorite fried squirrel/deer/wildlife dinners were labors of love.  She and Elmer loved to dance.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer; two daughters, Barbara “BJ” (William) Rodeman, Westphalia; and Joyce Ann Weber, Westphalia; two grandchildren, Amanda (Brian) Oaks, and Lance (Callie) Rodeman; four great-grandchildren, Bryson Oaks, Marlowe Rodeman, Liam Rodeman, and Glenn Rodeman; and two siblings, Anna Marie (Bill) Reinkemeyer, Bowling Green; and Art Boeckmann; Wardsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Alphonse Boeckman, Lawrence Boeckman, Victor Boeckman, Joseph Boeckman, Herb Boeckmann, Ray Boeckmann, and David Boeckman; and three sisters, Monica Bruemmer, Frances Schwartze, and Rosemary Bishop.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dylan Schrader officiating.  In consideration of those with scent sensitivities, we kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or scented products.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
