Rose Ann Leivian, 92, of Jefferson City, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at StoneBridge Senior Living Villa Marie surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 14, 1933, in Linn, Missouri, to Alex and Catherine (Zeilmann) Nilges.

She was a 1951 graduate of Linn High School.

She was united in marriage on September 15, 1951, in Linn, Missouri to Harold Julius Leivian who preceded her in death on July 2, 2008.

She loved being a homemaker for her large family but in earlier years, Rose Ann was a proofreader for Von Hoffmann Press and then managed Jefferson City Federal Employees Credit Union with her husband for ten years.

Rose Ann was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St Ann’s Society, the Immaculata Club, and Mother Seton Club. She enjoyed golf at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club, Bridge Club, and quilting.  She loved taking care of her grandchildren and found great joy in watching them play Helias sports.

She is survived by six children, Bob (Lin) Leivian, Tempe, Arizona; James (Gail) Leivian, Ashland; Janice Leivian, Jefferson City; Doris Leivian, Park Hills, Missouri; Laura Leivian, Jefferson City and Ellie (Randy) Bono, Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Scott (Georgia) Snodgrass, Doug (Kara) Bono, Katy (Brett) Cavender, and Josh (fiancé Bryce Timberline) Marshal; three step-grandchildren, Melanie (Erol) Baskurt, Stephanie Webb, and April Mullins; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two half-brothers, Frank (Margaret) Saunier, Jefferson City; and Louis Saunier, Linn.

Rose Ann was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Hayes and a sister-in-law, Cheryel Saunier.

A visitation will be held 9-10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Matthew J. Flatley officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the Capital Campaign for Immaculate Conception Catholic School.
