Connie Karol Gossett, 83, of Arlington Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Oak Tree Villas, in Jefferson City, MO., surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 14, 1942, in Clovis, New Mexico, the daughter of William Henry and Lucille Sarah (Sims) Osborne.
On December 23, 1960, Connie was united in marriage to Neal Alvis Gossett who preceded her in death.
She worked for Johnson & Johnson in the accounting department; in her retirement years she worked for the Arlington Independent School District.
Connie was, above all else, a devoted mother whose greatest joy in life was caring for and supporting her family. She dedicated herself to those she loved, always offering encouragement, comfort, and unwavering support through life’s challenges and celebrations alike.
She had a love for animals and cherished the family pets that were part of her home. Her gentle heart and nurturing spirit extended not only to her family but also to the many furry companions she adored throughout her life.
Those who knew her will remember her wonderful sense of humor. She had a quick wit, a playful sarcastic streak, and a way of making others laugh even during difficult times. Her humor brought joy to family gatherings and created countless memories that will be treasured forever.
More than anything, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely. Her kindness, devotion, laughter and strength shaped the lives of those around her. Though she is deeply missed, the lessons she taught, the love she shared, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
She is survived by two daughters, Zane Dee Gossett (Sheila), Murchison, Texas; Jana Lee Gossett, Fulton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Cole (BriAnna) Kettle, and Taylor Kettle; two great-grandchildren, Kollyns Kettle, and Kooper Kettle; two siblings, Mack (Terry) Osborne and Joan Vinall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Pam (Milton “Bubba”) Schuler; and brothers-in-law Mark Vinall.
Private family services will be held.

I too loved my Aunt Connie more than words can express. She was beautiful inside and out. We shared a kindred love of animals, in fact she probably had a huge impact on me in that regard. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she kept a beautiful home, and she was hands down, the best cook EVER! She made me laugh loud and often. When you have someone like my Aunt Connie in your life, you recognize that she was a gift in family and friendship and her impact in my life was monumental. She’ll be missed by Haven and Justin and my grandboys Dylan and Jesse who all adored her as well, how could they not, she was the GOAT❣️Rest well at the feet of Christ my sweet Aunt Connie, you will be missed 💔
Love you
BJ & Jerry Stapleton
