Kathleen Denise Fitzpatrick, 79, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Copperas Cove, Texas.
Kathleen was born on June 24, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Anthony and Madeline Lanciano. She grew up in Deptford, New Jersey, and spent her summers with family in Cape May, a place that remained especially dear to her throughout her life. She graduated from Our Lady of Angels Academy in Haddonfield, New Jersey.
Kathleen enjoyed a successful career in banking for 30 years. She later worked as a Construction Coordinator for homebuilders B.A. Emmons and Carothers for 20 years before retiring.
While living in Copperas Cove, Kathleen met Charles Fitzpatrick, and together they made their home in Killeen, Texas. Kathleen and Charles shared 26 years of marriage until his passing on November 20, 2025.
Kathleen and Charles were devoted members of St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights, where they actively participated in numerous ministries. Kathleen served as a lector and Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. Together, she and Charles were Lay Missionaries of the Sacred Heart and assisted with the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), now known as the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). Their faith led them on many pilgrimages, including visits to Italy, the Holy Land, and Alaska. They especially treasured their trips to Ireland, where they explored their Irish heritage, connected with their ancestral roots, and created many cherished memories together.
Kathleen was a dedicated member of the Ladies of Charity, serving as treasurer for many years. She also volunteered with the Junior Ladies of Charity, supporting its mission of service and outreach.
Kathleen also treasured her membership in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she developed numerous lifelong friendships and shared many happy memories with her fellow sisters.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Fitzpatrick, and her parents, Anthony and Madeline Lanciano.
She is survived by her sons, Curtis Fitzpatrick and his wife, Stephanie, and Christopher Fitzpatrick; her beloved grandchildren, Kaylie and Conor; and many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Kathleen will be remembered for her deep faith, generous spirit, devotion to family, and the lasting friendships she cherished throughout her life.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Wardsville, Missouri with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki, VG officiating.
