Charles E. Mauzy

charles mauzy

Charles E. Mauzy, 72, of Jefferson City, MO, died Friday, July 3, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri.

Charles was a man of many talents. He traveled down many different avenues of life, but his biggest passion was serving and witnessing for the Lord. Charles never met a stranger, a very kind and generous man. He loved fishing any time of year and spending time with family and friends. Charles also had a deep love for horses and dogs, especially his dog Daisy. May Charles’ memory and his love for people live on and be remembered forever and ever.

Charlie gladly received Jesus as his Lord and Savior at age 18 while in the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California following Marine Corps basic training In San Diego, CA. He served the Lord, his fellow man, the US Marines, and his country throughout his lifetime.

Charlie as a loyal member of the Bible Baptist Church of Jefferson City for the last several years of his life.

He had several different places he worked at throughout his life. His favorite and what he was wonderful at was while he worked with, mentoring and providing guidance to troubled teen boys in Hillsboro Missouri for several years. Many young people got to go to Christian youth camps because of Charlie’s generous spirit.

Family and friends found out after Charlie’s passing, that he had signed up as an organ donor and was able to donate to a needy patient that which was needed, thus dying as he lived – a giver. He was a father to the fatherless through the years and while having no children of his own, he was a father/grandfather friend and mentor to many young people and a great uncle to boot. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him. What a man, what a brother, what a neighbor and what a friend was Charles Edgar Mauzy.

Charlie was succeeded by his siblings, Alan and Doris Mauzy of Springfield, MO; Sue Hubbs and Junior of Salem, MO; Gary and Linda Mauzy of Fl, Dennis and Cheryl Mauzy of Gulfport, MS, Peggy Mauzy of House Springs MO, and Randy Mauzy who lives in a Western state. He was also succeeded by many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews including great nephew, David Mauzy of House Springs, MO.
