Corey Allen Braun
June 18, 1980 ~ October 10, 2026
Corey Allen Braun, 46, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Corey was born June 18, 1980, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the son of Jerry Braun and Julie (Cox) Machado. He graduated from Lemoore High School in Lemoore, California, in 1999 and went on to attend college.
On June 5, 2010, Corey was united in marriage to the love of his life, Jessica Antweiler at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City.
After growing up in cattle and having odds and ends jobs in the farming field, Corey began his next career as a certified peace officer, serving as a correctional officer in the state of California for five years. In 2007, he joined his father at Tuls Cattle as a corral manager. There he raised calves, hired crews, and kept the operation running until 2013. After relocating back to Jefferson City, he spent 12 years as an outside sales representative for Patterson Animal Health International, where his knowledge of livestock and his easy way with people served him well, and where his customers and co-workers became family. Because just one job wasn’t enough, in 2021, he lived out his life-long dream of being an entrepreneur and launched his own business, C&C Bin Service, LLC. It was a venture he took great pride in serving the Jefferson City community and enjoyed very much. It was a true family affair, owning this with Jessica and running day to day operations with his son, Cody.
Corey never learned how to sit still. If he wasn’t hunting or fishing, he was working in the yard, building something, or tinkering with whatever needed fixing, and sometimes things that didn’t. He was a doer and a giver who showed up for the people he loved, especially his children and grandchildren. His wit was quick, and sarcasm was his love language which constantly brought laughter to others around him. He was also a devoted “dance dad,” never missing a competition.
During his last year and a half of battling cancer, Corey underwent treatments at Missouri Cancer Associates, where he knew no stranger in anyone that worked there and considered them friends and family – Especially his oncologist, Dr. Alex Tungesvik. Because of him, Corey’s family received more time to make even more lasting memories with him.
Corey is survived by his wife, Jessica, of the home; his children, Cheyenne Braun of Lubbock, Texas; Cody Braun (Jana) of Jefferson City; and Grace and Allee, both of the home; and three grandchildren, Alexis Braun, Luke Sperry, and Everett Braun. He is also survived by his mother, Julie Machado of Jefferson City; his father, Jerry (Melanie) Braun, of Clovis, NM; his brother, Mark Braun (Andrea) of Chilton, Wisconsin; his sister, Andrea Reed (Scott) of China Spring, Texas; in-laws, Thomas and Meryl Antweiler of Jefferson City; brother-in-law Josh and wife Jill of Wardsville, MO; his grandmother, Kitty Gallman of Friona, TX; nieces, nephews, and many other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City. A prayer service will follow at 6 p.m. with Fr. Donald Antweiler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Corey’s family for future needs of his children (in care of Jessica Braun).
