Audrey Rosemary Dunnavant, 86, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, December 25, 2011, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born on October 10, 1925, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late August and Stella Stegeman Schlueter.
She was united in marriage on October 8, 1949, in Jefferson City, to Henry Andrew Dunnavant who preceded her in death on October 31, 1992.
Audrey worked for Tweedie Shoe Factory and for the Missouri Department of Revenue until her retirement. After she retired, she was a homemaker. She lived for her family; spending time and caring for all her family was her passion.
She was a member of Ladies of the Shrine in Bellville, Illinois, and St. Jude Shrine in Baltimore, Maryland.
Survivors include: one daughter, Vickey (Dave) Scott, Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Tina Chaidez (Shane Duenkel); Craig Dunnavant; Travis (Elizabeth) Scott; two step-grandchildren, Kristina Scott; Melissa Scott; five great-grandchildren, Dylan Chaidez; Katelyn Scott; Trenton Scott; Riley Dunnavant; Kagan Dunnavant; and one step-great-grandchild, Devon Wells.
She was also preceded in death by a son, George Corkey Dunnavant; a grandson, Cheston Dunnavant; one sister, Annabelle Dunnavant; and a brother, Wendell Schlueter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Basil Eruo officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

  6. Vickie, Tina,Travis & David, Our hearts go out to you all. Audrey was and is a wonderful lady. She will be greatly missed. It will very hard for a long time since she was an everyday fixture in all of your lives, I know how hard it was for us losing our mom’s and we were only with them a couple days a week. I still can’t really say I know what you are going through, everyone has their own type of feelings. But, please remember all the pain,suffering and grief are gone for her and she is in a much better place with others she hasn’t seen in a very long time and she is very happy. You have another angel in heaven to watch over you. Audrey did a lot for us and gave me a lot of good advice many times. She was a fireball and sometimes she was the life of the party. Those are the things too remember. We love you all and if you need anything please let us know.
