Bonnie Jean Stiesmeyer

Bonnie Jean Stiesmeyer, 93, of Jefferson City, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at University of Missouri Hospital.

She was born on October 8, 1932, in Linn, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Amanda (Schreimann) Herndon.

Bonnie was a graduate of Linn High School.

She was united in marriage on July 26, 1956, in Hernando, Miss. to William Frederick “Bill” Stiesmeyer, who preceded her in death on April 17, 2012.

Bonnie worked as a loan clerk for the Farmers Home Administration/USDA until retirement. Thereafter she worked for Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ as a secretary until 2022. She very much enjoyed working with Cary and Brent.

She was a member of Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ. She loved her church family, especially the ladies’ class on Tuesdays.

Bonnie liked to paint, exercise, cook, loved spending time with her daughters, traveling with her husband, watching St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, and she especially loved her dog, Molly. She loved her dear neighbor friends Fred and Brenda. She looked forward to Brenda’s visits and loved all of the homemade food and deserts Brenda brought over. She enjoyed exercising at the Healthplex twice a week with Macey, her personal trainer.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sara (Donald) Boes and Rachel Duncan, all of Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Daniel (Ashley) Boes, James (Carly) Duncan, and Emily (Ross) Bunton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; four brothers, Clarence Herndon, Clifford Herndon, Bill Herndon, and Charles Herndon; and a sister, Clara Schnieder.

Visitation will be 10-11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Brent Newton, officiating.

Burial will be in Linn Public Cemetery in Linn, Missouri.
