Cameron Allen Briot, 11, of Columbus, Indiana, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, as the result of an ATV accident at his home in Columbus, Indiana.
Cameron was born in Indianapolis on December 2, 2002, the son of David A. Briot and Amber Dawn Jones Stevens.
Cameron was 5th grade student at Southside Elementary School and he participated in the PAAL Basketball program.
A loving and protecting brother, Cameron was a good son, grandson, and nephew. He enjoyed playing basketball, riding ATVs, the nature and outdoors, video gaming and helping his family with special projects around the house. He loved his dog, Bella and his cat, Ozzy.
He is survived by his parents, Amber Dawn Jones Stevens and Brett Stevens of Columbus and David A. and Danielle Briot of Jefferson City, MO; a stepsister, Brelin Stevens of Columbus; half sisters, Baylee Stevens of Columbus and Lillian Briot of Jefferson City, MO; maternal grandparents, Janet Hirschman of Jefferson City, MO and Craig Jones of Vail, AZ; paternal grandparents, Doug and Mary Briot of Jefferson City, MO; step grandparents, Linda Stevens and her fianc Phil Soladine of Columbus and Brian Stevens and his fianc Becky Tempest of Columbus; bonus grandparents, Laura Jones of Bargersville, IN and Roger Pennell of Jefferson City, MO; great-grandparents, Cecil and Donna Jones of Salem, OR, Beth Wissmann of Linn, MO, and Martha Lancaster of Columbus; aunts and uncles, Erin and Brettan McGuire of Norman, OK, Ben Jones of Indianapolis, IN, and Thomas Briot of Jefferson City, MO; first cousins, Arianna and Lila McGuire of Norman, OK; and numerous great-aunts, great-uncles and second cousins.
Cameron was preceded in death by a cousin, Amelia McGuire and his maternal great-grandparents and his paternal step-great grandfather.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon Wednesday at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating.
Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice of charities.
