Catherine Lynn Montgomery passed away shy of her 66th birthday on Monday, July 4, 2022 at Capitol Region Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Cathy was born July 8, 1956 at the Pensacola Naval Base in Pensacola, Florida to Bonnie (Flanigan) Culley and the late James Culley. She was a 1974 graduate of Jefferson City Senior High School and then attended Lincoln University. Cathy had been a member of Mensa and Toastmasters. Her career included working for the State of Missouri in the Dept. of Revenue, Division of Employment Security, Missouri Power and Light and was an IT consultant for Crawford Insurance, Atlanta, GA.

On November 22, 2016, Cathy married Rick Montgomery in Flagler Beach, FL. They enjoyed visiting relatives in Las Vegas and their many trips to Florida beaches, collecting seashells and sea glass. Cathy had many different interests that included bike riding with Rick, reading, flower gardening, crocheting, playing iPad games with her granddaughter, Ally and decorating for her favorite holiday, Halloween.

Survivors include her husband, Rick, mother, Bonnie Culley, two children, Beth (Aaron) Sandbothe, Nick (Fashion) Montgomery, six grandchildren, Trey, Zack, Ally, Fierce, Finn and Halo, brother, James Joseph Culley, two sisters, Connie (Scott) Ball and Carol “Abbie” (Phil) Workman and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, July 11, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Trimble Funeral Homes, 3210 N. Ten Mile Dr., Jefferson City. A Celebration of Cathy’s Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
