Charles Edward Richards, 69, of Jefferson City, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his home.
He was born March 20, 1955, in Oak Lawn, Illinois, the son of Charles Donald and Mary Catherine (Bulow) Richards.
Charles was a 1973 graduate of California High School in California, Missouri.
He was united in marriage on May 31, 1974, in California, Missouri to Deborah Kay Antweiler.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie; three sons, Ben (Amy) Richards, Jefferson City, Aaron Richards, Independence, Missouri and Evan Richards, Jefferson City; siblings, Kevin (Cinda) Richards, Kenny (Julie) Richards, Lucy Richards, Mary (Tom) Pikkering, Danny (Bobbi) Richards and David (Denise) Richards; one granddaughter, Jessica Richards, his father, Charles Donald Richards.
Charles worked as a customer service representative for the Missouri Department of Revenue, retiring on June 1, 2021.
He enjoyed cooking, being outside planting flowers in the garden and spending time with his granddaughter, Jessie. His real passion was collecting rocks and stones and polishing them and fashioning them into jewelry. Charles was also a member of the Holts Summit congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
