  14. We will so miss Danny, our neighbor and friend. It is so hard to believe that he is not here with us. Less than a month ago he was out working on his house (playing his radio a bit loud) calling out to neighbors who passed by. Danny was amazing, always optimistic about the future, continually having an improvement in mind. He was dedicated not only to his family but also to making his neighborhood a friendlier and safer place. Danny was an inspiration as a lifelong learner. With all the home and community projects he was involved in, he somehow found time to continue taking classes. We and the Hickory St. Neighborhood have suffered a great loss.

  21. My love, my life. You have left us here without you. What will we do? You were a personification of St. Joseph—a worker, provider, surrogate father and beloved husband. Also, like St. Michael the Archangel, a protector and defender. Thank you for returning me to the one true Catholic faith, for lighting a fire in me and others to learn the Catholic catechism’s teachings, for being an example of a righteous and obedient servant to God and your fellow man. Thank you for loving me. It was my pleasure to love you here on this earth. The earth keeps moving, time marches on, but how, without you? 143

  22. Bonita, I’m sorry to hear of Danny’s passing. We always enjoyed seeing your family on our walks in the neighborhood and appreciated how much you both cared about keeping it nice and safe place to live and for kids to play in the park. Your family is in our prayers. With Sympathy, Katie and Jake Owens former neighbors on Adams St.
