DOLORES MILDRED HAGER

Dolores Mildred Hager, 96, of Jefferson City, died Friday, September 23, 2011, at Oak Tree Villas.
She was born on February 20, 1915, the daughter of the late David Eldon and Hilda Mueller Hodges.
She attended St. Peter Grade School and St. Peter High School.
She was united in marriage on February 19, 1936, in Jefferson City to Raymond Joseph Hager who preceded her in death on December 30, 1998.
Mrs. Hager spent most of her life in Jefferson City with the exception of several years in Canada and St. Louis as a child.
Dolores was employed during the Depression with the Federal Emergency Relief Administration and with the U.S. Treasury Department. She was later employed with the Secretary of States Office, and for a number of years with the Missouri State Senate and the Missouri State House of Representatives.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality, Dan C. Coppin Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Association of Retired Missouri State Employees, American Association of Retired Persons, and the Oliver Buehrle #17 Post DAV Auxiliary.
Dolores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She doted on her husband and children. She was a member of two bridge clubs for over fifty years. She enjoyed many friends and acquaintances.
Survivors include: two daughters, Linda (Daniel) Pawliczak, Centertown; Cheryl (Bruce) Bender, Columbia; six grandchildren, Christopher (Angela) Pawliczak, Karen (Christopher) Keeney, Jillian Pawliczak, Brett Bender, Kaitlin Bender, Lauren Hager; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Bernice Henson, Jefferson City; and a daughter-in-law, Sandy Hager, Bedford, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by a son, Alan Hager; and a sister, Thelma Longmeyer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Doyle, celebrant.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Carmelite Monastery, 2201 W. Main St., Jefferson City, Mo 65109.

Cheryl, Linda and all the Family: You have my deepest sympathies during this difficult time of loss of your Dear Mom. I just found out about her passing and with the distraction of family in town for my daughter’s wedding, I missed your Mom’s Visitation and Funeral…I am so sorry. She was such a gentle and loving woman and I will cherish the fun memories of time spent at your house in our school-age years. I am thankful to have visited with all three of you at St. Mary’s….and know that your Mom was with us in thought during that time.
