Dorothy Jane Boeckman, 90, of St. Martins, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015, at Adams Street Place. She was born September 1, 1925, in Jefferson City, Missouri the daughter of the late Victor and Hilda (Swanson) Brondel. She was united in marriage on June 15, 1948, at St. Martin Catholic Church to Joseph Leo Boeckman who preceded her in death on July 20, 2003. Dorothy cared for her family as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing cards, traveling, and babysitting her grandchildren. Survivors include: two daughters, Jada (Roch) Schaefer, St. Martins; Joan (John) Moore, St. Martins; four grandchildren, Michelle (Eric) Bopp, Joe (Candice) Schaefer, Jared (Amber) Moore, Jordan Moore; five great-grandchildren, Mariana Bopp, Nick Bopp, Jack Bopp, Roch Schaefer, Avery Schaefer; three sisters, Betty Carel, St. Martins; Ruth Boeckman, St. Martins; and Annie Wilbers, Jefferson City; and her special dog, Lucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Clara Brondel; Loretta Schroer; and seven brothers, Victor, Richard, Donald, Bob, Ken, Julian, and Jerry Brondel. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon Thursday at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martins, Mo with the Rev. Edwin A Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic Church, 7148 St. Martins Blvd., Jefferson City, MO 65109.
