I am the realtor who had the duplex listed & sold that Doug lived in. He was always so accommodating with showings of his home by being responsive to my texts of requests. He even fixed my sign! In our brief dealings, I felt a genuine sweetness from Doug. Prayers for his family, especially his girls.
Thank you for letting Doug spend time with us. He will be missed. ߙ
Donnie and Doug’s Girls, I was so sorry to learn of Doug’s death. My love and prayers are with all of you. I have been gone from Jefferson City for so long that my memories center around Doug as a child and his love of life and people. He was always quick to smile and ready to lend a hand. It was evident at the Walsh Reunion a few years ago that his girls were his pride and joy. Uncle Bud and Aunt Margie had such fun singing, playing the trumpet and piano, and dancing and Dougie was right there with them having a grand time. You are in my heart and I will be praying on Friday. If you are ever in Chicago, give us a call. My deepest condolences to all of you. Love, Kate (Hellman)
I just met Doug this summer through the Lady Tigers Softball team. My daughter is on the team and I am the assistant coach. From the moment I met him, I could tell that Doug loved softball and coaching. He had great ideas to help the girls learn different skills. I’ll never forget his cheerful laugh and positive attitude. My thoughts and prayers go to his girls and his family.
Sending love light and prayers for his family especially his daughters in this difficult time. Douglas was a very caring and warm hearted man and he will be greatly missed.
Such a loss. I’m a godmother because of you Doug. Your smile and laughter will be missed. Many years of cherished memories you have left for us now. Rest up until we see you again.
Rest In Peace Doug!
Doug was an extremely fine man. He loved his daughters very very much. They made his life worthwhile. I imagine that his last thoughts were about his girls and how he felt about having to leave them. — Cal
So sorry to hear of the passing of Doug. Doug worked at the Salvation where I would often volunteer. Doug was always so nice. He helped me in many ways. I will always remember Doug as a true gentlemen and a great friend. Rest in peace, my friend.
