Edward West, Jr., 94, of Russellville, passed away Friday, November 29, 2019, at the Missouri Baptist Home in Chillicothe, Missouri.

He was born July 18, 1925, in Farmington, Kentucky, the son of the late James Edward and Mollie Rena (Wallis) West.

Edward was a graduate of Farmington High School and attended Sanford-Brown Business College.

He served his country in the United States Army as a sergeant during World War II.

He was united in marriage on August 26, 1944, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to Joyce Mae Hill who survives.

Edward worked for McDonnell-Douglas as a Senior Planner for over 33 years.

He was a member of Russellville Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors include three children, Gary (Cheryl) West, Jefferson City; Janet (Richard) Hurtgen, Chillicothe; Beverly (West) Milburn, Jefferson City; six grandchildren, Jennifer West, Scott (Shanna) West, Julie West, Rob Hurtgen, Michael Hurtgen, David Milburn; thirteen great-grandchildren, Sierra, Silas, Kaylee, Matthew, Lily, Emma, Westley, Alice, Sophie, Henry, Ethan, Abbi, Christian; one sister, Joetta Riley, Dodge City, KS; and one sister-in-law, LaJuana West, Bridgeton, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Sandy Capobianco; one sister, Ovaleen (Tom) Duke; four brothers, Dwight (Bernice) West, Connie (Dorothy) West, James (Ruby) West, Anthony West; and one brother-in-law, Terrell Riley.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2019, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Russellville Baptist Church with Rev. Dinzel Webb officiating.

Burial with military honors will be in Enloe Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Russellville Baptist Church.

Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville is in charge of the arrangements.
