Elizabeth "Betty" Catherine Nilges, 77, of Jefferson City, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Mo. She was born on May 12, 1935, in St. Elizabeth, the daughter of the late Herbert Joseph and Augusta Hedwig (Bax) Nilges. She was a 1954 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School. Betty worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue Division of Drivers License as an edit audit clerk. She retired June 1, 1990. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth Alumni Association. Survivors include: two sisters, Delores Nilges, Jefferson City; and Helen (Vic) Lock, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by a brother, August "Gus" Nilges. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Colin P. Franklin officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
