Ellen A. Walther

Ellen A. Walther, 85, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 6, 1928, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Agnes (Kierns) Mittelmeyer.
Ellen was a 1946 graduate of St. Peter High School.
She was united in marriage on April 3, 1948, in Jefferson City, to Jerome Anthony Walther who preceded her in death on January 2, 1974.
Ellen worked for over twenty-five years for the Missouri Department of Revenue.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, ceramics, and embroidery.
Survivors include: two children, Michael (Annette) Walther, Jefferson City; Karen (Michael) Eisele, North Redington Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Talon Walther (Jayme Hitt), Brice Walther, Beth Walther (Bret Monahan); two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Walther and Haden Walther; and her beloved companion dog, Punkin.
She was also preceded in death by an infant brother.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Viviano officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 5 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Peter Church Building Fund, 216 Broadway Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65101.
