He spent many hours working on the family farm, campaigning for the Republican Party, and preparing his dog for the dachshund races during Oktoberfest. He loved holiday traditions, including the annual hunt for a massive Christmas tree, Thanksgiving butchering, firework wars, and Easter wiffle ball. He was a talented artist and photography enthusiast.
In addition to his wife, Lisa, of 29 years, he is survived by his son, Nathan (Kacey) Schlotz, St. Louis; his three daughters, Morgan (Will) Bartels, Mission, KS; MacKenzie (Danny) Feldmann, Jefferson City; Lauren Schlotz, Jefferson City; one granddaughter, Annabelle Schlotz; two brothers, Scott (Diane) Schlotz, Dardenne Prairie, MO; Troy (Sue) Schlotz, Wardsville, MO; one brother-in-law, Mike (Bobbi) Luebbert, Loose Creek, MO; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Our deepest sympathies to all!
Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with you all. We are so saddened to hear! We had the honor of meeting him at Nate and Kacey’s wedding and when Annabelle was born. He was so very kind and that reflects from his son for sure. I know he is in Heaven and one day we will all reunite there forever. You all will be in our continual prayers. God bless your hearts. Love, Ken, Lisa& Rebecca Clayton

Sorry to hear Eric has passed away. Eric played for the well-known \”Red Shirt\” softball team which won its Jefferson City Park Board division in 1981. Even though I moved to St. Louis in 1986, Eric always remembered my name and always spoke when I saw him. He will be grreatly missed.

Dear Lisa, I was so very sorry to see about the loss of your husband. My God comfort you and your family with the great memories you have of him.
Lisa, I am so sorry I did not say anything to you at Mass tonight. I wanted to, but…well, I should have. I am so sorry about Eric. I did not know him well personally, but I went to high school with Troy, so I always heard about Eric through him. He was a great, great person, and he will be truly missed. Paula and I are praying for you and your family.
Dear Scott, Troy, Lisa, and family
I am so sorry to hear of Eric passing on. I had not seen him in years, but years ago we were close friends and I know he’s still my friend. Eric was always kind to me and we shared some great fun. I was just checking out the reunion site for the first time, and came across this! I am so sorry! I didn’t know he had passed. I watched the video, had a good cleansing cry, and said lots of prayers!! My heart goes out to you all. He stayed and fought the fight hard, now maybe he can rest. All my love to you, Lisa, and to all the kids!
We are so sorry for your tremendous loss. What a beautiful life. Our thoughts and prayers are forever with you.
