FRANCES SOPHIA "FRANKY" RACKERS

Frances Sophia Franky Rackers, 93, of Wardsville, died Monday, August 6, 2012, at Villa Marie Nursing Home.
She was born on February 4, 1919, in the Schubert area, the daughter of the late John Valentine and Mathilda Mary (Wiegersen) DeBrine.
She was a 1937 graduate of Westphalia Public High School.
Frances was united in marriage on October 14, 1950, in Taos, to Carl Richard Rackers who preceded her in death on June 30, 2005.
Frances worked for the Missouri Conservation Commission in the Protection section for ten years and then became a homemaker during her married life. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the St. Stanislaus Parish Ladys Sodality.
Survivors include: two sons, Rodney (Susan) Rackers, Centertown and Dale (Carol) Rackers, Wardsville; six grandchildren, Nicholas Rackers, Nathan (Gina) Rackers, Emily (Joshua) Kampeter, Jenna (Jason) Volmert, Ben Rackers, Jacob Rackers; and two great-grandchildren, Sophie Kampeter and Isabella Rackers.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert DeBrine and Elmer DeBrine, a sister, Bertha DeBrine; and an infant sister, Henrietta DeBrine.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2012, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville with the Rev. Ignazio C. Medina, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Additional visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Stanislaus Catholic School, 6410 Route W, Jefferson City, Mo 65101.

  1. Sorry to hear about your mother’s death.I am a little related and remember my dad talking about your parents and I think we visited them a few times many years ago. My dad’s name is Hubert Hoelcher from Osage Bend and I think he is related thought the DeBrine’s. Is Myrtle (I think her dad’s name was Elmer) still alive. May her sould rest in peace.
